Biographical Information
Sheila Davis joined the IHP faculty in January of 2008,and teaches in the Adult Primary Care Track, the HIV/AIDS sub-speciality tract, and courses such as History of Nursing Ideas and the International Health course. She is an adult nurse practitioner, specializing in HIV/AIDS and infectious diseases and has an active clinical practice in the MGH Infectious Diseases outpatient clinic since 1997. She is the co-founder and current board member of Sibusiso, www.sibusiso.org, a Boston based NGO working in South Africa and the Boston area. Sheila has an interest in human rights, social justice, and global issues. Sheila is one of the 20 national Carl Wilkens Fellows from the Genocide Intervention Network and is working with national and global human rights groups. Sheila was inducted as a Fellow into the American Academy of Nursing in 2008.
