Denise Ambrosi joined the MGH Institute faculty in April 2000 as a Clinical Instructor. She has lectured in the Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology Program, for Communication Sciences and Disorders, since 1997.
She is the Director of the Speech-Language Pathology Department and Program Director of the Inpatient Brain Injury Program at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital (SRH).
At SRH, Denise has oversight of the graduate student internship program. As Director she is responsible for guiding the practice of Speech Language Pathologists across the rehabilitation programs, including Brain Injury, Stroke/Neurology, Spinal Cord Injury, and General Rehab.
She is also responsible for continuing education programming and competency training for SLPs at Spaulding. Ms. Ambrosi has worked at SRH for 23 years in clinical and
administrative positions.
She has specific expertise in the area of adult neurogenics and dysphagia; and serves as a hospital-wide resource in the area of dysphagia.
She has been instrumental in the development and implementation of the speech-language pathology component of Spaulding's electronic medical record.
Ms. Ambrosi also has oversight of the inpatient Brain Injury Program at Spaulding, where she facilitates interdisciplinary team collaboration and coordination of patient care.
Denise is the recipient of numerous Partners in Excellence Awards.
